I’m disgusted at the Oakland Police Department, the NYPD, and the Boston Police Department, from what I’ve read so far. I cannot look at the NYPD officers the same way when I see them on the street anymore.
(Oh hey, President Obama, about that exporting democracy abroad business we’ve been involved in these past ten years? It might be time to import some democracy back to the United States. These people are being wrongfully imprisoned because they are fighting for civil rights. They are fighting for the change that you promised. When will you condemn the misconduct of the police departments across the United States in using such tactics against peaceful protesters? Mr. President, your silence is being read as condoning their actions, and as tacit approval to continue behaving in this manner. We expect better of you, Mr. President.)
